About the Artist
I am grateful for the many roads I've been fortunate to travel. From life as a military kid, to picking potatoes on a combine harvester in Maine, to starting a non-profit for moms and daughters, I have always kept my art supplies sheltered in that quiet space where I could practice my craft for the pure joy of creating. The varied paths I have taken on life's journey have culminated in my pursuit of beauty as a working artist. Until recently, that creative journey was divided between my studios based in Anchorage, Alaska and Blacksburg, Virginia. Now that I am home for good, the soft rolling mountains and grand vistas of Southwest Virginia, once again, inspire me to create my version of beauty expressed with paint and canvas.
